Wanda E. Fisher, 92, of Raytown, MO passed away Thursday, December 19th 2013. A visitation will be held from 1:00p.m. to 2:00p.m. on Thursday, December 26th at Carson Speaks Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 2:00p.m. at the chapel. Cremation and inurnment at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens to follow. Wanda was born May 25, 1921 in Asher, OK to Veva (Riggle) and August Romi. She later married Alvin Fisher in 1948 and together they raised three children. As a homemaker, she enjoyed participating in her children’s school activities as well as Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. Wanda also enjoyed cooking, crossword puzzles, and loving her family. Wanda is survived by husband Alvin Fisher of Warrensburg, MO; daughter, Jan Sumner and husband Tim of Lee’s Summit, MO; son, Jay Fisher of Independence, MO. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Judy Fisher and brother, Lloyd Hall. The family encourages contributions to American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association in her memory.
