Alan Craig Fite, 89, of Overland Park, KS passed away Saturday, September 15, 2007. Private graveside services will be held at the Mt. Moriah Cemetery on Tuesday, September 18, 2007. Alan was born December 18, 1917 in Washington Court House, OH to Ed and Susan (Cockerill) Fite. He attended Northwestern University and then graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in accounting. He was married to Ina Ziegenhorn on November 5, 1944. Working for Procter & Gamble for 39 years, he spent time in the Philippines and England, and eventually retired in 1978 in Cincinnati, OH as Treasurer of the company. During his 30 years of retirement, he enjoyed family, friends, golf and bridge. He attended Mission Road Community of Christ congregation. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ina; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Scott Hinderks of Overland Park, KS; granddaughter, Kimberly Hinderks of San Diego, CA; and sister, Barbara Fite of Elizabethton, TN. He was preceded in death by sister, Elizabeth Stark and 2 brothers, Dean Fite and Wallace Fite. In tribute to Alan's unfailing interest in others, the family suggests memorial contributions to a charity of the donor's choice and asks for no flowers.
