John Patrick Fitzgearlds, a kind, loving man, passed away at North Kansas City Hospital on Saturday, December 5th, 2020. He was 53. John was born on August 8th, 1967 to James and Laura Fitzgearlds in North Kansas City, Missouri.
While growing up John was an athlete. Football and Basketball were just a few activities he took part in as a young man. After graduating from Winnetonka High School John began working for Vance Brothers Asphalt Company. He remained there for over 30 years. When John wasn’t working he could be found with his family. John was a scout leader for numerous years and enjoyed going on adventures with his son. He was an outdoorsman and took advantage of every opportunity to go camping or fishing, to enjoy nature with all his children. John was a simple man, his laughter was contagious and he could always put a smile on the faces of those he loved. He will be missed dearly.
John is survived by his son, Josh Fitzgearlds (Rebekah); his daughters, Jackie, Julia and Jill Fitzgearlds; his granddaughter Zoey; ex wife, Sara Huffman and dear friends, David Wood and Gary Leibold (Julie).
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, James and sister, Marie.
Cremation is planned with services at a later date.
