Frances Lorene Fitzpatrick, 81 of Levasy, MO passed away, Thur. July 24, 2003 at the Medical Center of Independence. Services will be 10:30 am, Mon. July 28, 2003 at the Ebenezer United Church of Christ, Levasy, MO. Burial in Ebenezer United Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:30 pm Sunday at the Church, with an Eastern Star service at 7:30 pm. Contributions are suggested to Ebenezer United Church of Christ or the Knights Templar Eye Foundation. Mrs. Fitzpatrick was born on Sep. 25, 1921 in Effingham, KS to Fred J. and Anna C. (Severson) Reeves. The family later moved to Atchison, KS where Frances attended the Martin School and graduated from the Atchison High School in 1939. She attended the Atchison Business College. She moved to Kansas City, MO where she worked for Lake City Arsenal and later Pratt Whitney. It was there she met her husband, James. They were married on April 7, 1945 at the First Christian Church, Kansas City, MO. In 1952 they moved to Levasy, MO and purchased a Gas Station and Caf�. In 1969 they moved to their 80 acre farm south of Levasy where they raised Santa Gertrudis cattle. Frances was City Clerk for the City of Levasy. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star since 1964. She was Worthy Matron in 1971, 1977 and 1995. She was also a member of the Social Order of Beauceant since 1974. She was Supreme Worthy President in 1989 at which time she traveled throughout the United States. She was also a member of the White Shrine Nazarene #2, Kansas City, MO and a member of the Ebenezer United Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Fitzpatrick in 2001 and an infant daughter in 1960. She is survived by a son, James Francis Fitzpatrick and his wife Peggy of Levasy, MO. A stepson Ernest D. and his wife, Lynn Fitzpatrick of Houston, TX. Two grandchildren, Tammy Sturm and husband Tim and Tina Brown and husband Dale. Four step grandchildren, Erin Fitzpatrick and wife Dayna, Justin Fitzpatrick, Jordan Fitzpatrick and Kristie Bookie. Six great grandchildren, James McClain, Jordan McClain and Joseph McClain, Tristan Brown, Andrew Brown and Aidan Brown. Five step great grandchildren, Adrianna Sturm, Rachel Bookie, Ryan Bookie, Connor Fitzpatrick, and Cameron Fitzpatrick. One brother, Kenneth Reeves of Leavenworth, KS and three nephews.
