Tony was born on December 15, 1956 in Northwood, ND to Vernon and Janice Fjeld. They moved around several times with Vernon’s job before finally calling Kansas City home. After high school, Tony learned the trade of welding and was a Union Iron Worker. His family and friends think of him as a jack of all trades and he proclaimed himself as a “master of none”. He loved helping people and spending the summer at Blue Springs Lake. In his retirement he enjoyed building off-road vehicles with his cousins and going off-road rock crawling in the vehicles they built. Most of all Tony loved helping and spending time with family.
Left behind to mourn his loss but keep his memories alive are his son Robert Fjeld and Sarah Bennion and their children Gideon DeMoss and Alice Fjeld of Raytown, MO; his mother Janice Fjeld of Independence, MO; brother Kevin Fjeld and wife Linda of Hollister, FL, brother Larry Fjeld of Independence, MO, sister Linda Gall and husband Tim and their son Andrew of Butler, PA, brother Rodney Fjeld and wife Terri and their daughter Brittney of Chico, CA; his dog Shadow; cat Sassy; plus several cousins and extended family members. He has left a legacy in the hearts of everyone who loved him. Tony was preceded in death by his father in 2004.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society. Online condolences may be expressed at www.speakschapel.com (Arrangements: Speaks Suburban Chapel 816-373-3600)
