Berenice Elizabeth Fleming, 91, of Lee�s Summit, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2003 at Wilshire at Lakewood. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2003 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, burial in Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday. Lexington, Independence MO, 64050; or a charity of your choice. Ms. Fleming was born September 25, 1911 to Charles and Charlotte (McIntosh) Koehler in Buffalo, New York. She graduated from William Chrisman High School. Ms. Fleming was the President of the 5th District Women�s Democratic Club. She was also a Charter member of the Independence Young Matrons; President of the Independence Regional Health Center Auxillary, Womens Leader at Stone Church. Ms. Fleming is a past member of the Knife and Fork Club. She also served as the Assistant Superintendent of the Kindergarten at Stone Church, and as the Director of Vacation Church School. She was and active member of the R.L.D.S. Church. Two sisters, two brothers, her husband James Fleming in January of 1996, and her parents Charles and Charlotte Koehler precede Ms. Fleming in death. She is survived by three daughters Barbara Zajic and husband Charles, and Susan Webb, both of Lee�s Summit, MO; Dottie Lammers and husband Joseph, Independence, MO; nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
