Jeanne Fletcher (Bennett)

Jessie Jeanne Fletcher, 90 of Independence, MO passed away Friday, March 3, 2017 at Carmel Hills Living Center. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian burial starting at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at St. Marks Catholic Church, 3736 S. Lee’s Summit Rd., Independence, MO 64055. Burial will be in Longview Memorial Donations may be made in her name to Crossroads Hospice. Jeanne was born May 27, 1926 in Topeka, KS to Horace R. and Mary E. (Berry) Bennett and has been a longtime area resident. She was a beloved wife, mother and homemaker who enjoyed Sewing, embroidery, reading, baking and cooking. She had worked in clerical for several businesses as well. Survivors include; 4 daughters, LeVern Lorenz and husband Heinz of Independence, MO, Patricia Creason and husband Robert of Lee’s Summit, MO, Janice Caggianello and husband Anthony of Prairie Village, KS and Marilyn O’Brien and husband Tom Pineville, MO; a son, Michael Dimarco and wife Elizabeth of Redmond, WA; 6 grandchildren, Chris, Kim, Jaime, Joey, Kelly and Maddie and 8 great grandchildren, Devon, Madison, Sullivan, Kora, Jacob, Hayden, Liam and Tyler. She was preceded in death by; her husband George Fletcher in 1996, her parents, 2 sisters, Alice Cantola and Dorothy Crumby and a grandson, Patrick McClay.
