GARY WARREN FLORY
Gary Flory, 71, of Liberty, MO, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2017. A visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00pm on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St, Independence, MO, 64055. A memorial service will follow at 2:00pm at the chapel.
Gary was born on January 15, 1946 in Lawrence, KS to Warren and Gleniece Flory. After high school, he joined the United States Army National Guard. Upon his discharge, he earned his Associate’s degree in engineering and worked for many years in agricultural manufacturing before pursuing a career in real estate as a broker. Gary enjoyed fishing, gardening, volleyball and tennis. Most of all he loved helping others any way he could.
Gary will be remembered in the hearts of many including his daughter Shirlene Hess and husband Brian of Liberty, MO; his love Susan Flory; grandsons Quinlan and Barrett; sisters Karen Hendrix, Gwendolen Hartman (Brian), and Gina Townley (James); plus several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandson Carson in 2011.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to North Care Hospice, who gave the most loving care to Gary.
