Randy Dean Flowers, a man of faith, passed away on Friday, April 16, 2021 in Independence, Missouri. He was 71. Randy was born to Robert and Norma Flowers on August 26, 1949 in Leon, Iowa.
Shortly after graduating from William Chrisman High School in 1968 Randy found and married the love of his life, Cheri. They spent 47 years building a life together. Randy was a hard worker. He worked as a Technical Coordinator for Haldex Brake Products for 29 years before retiring in 2005. He was proud of the time he spent helping the Engineering Dept get up and running. Randy and Cheri raised two sons, Bill and Andrew. He enjoyed spending most of his days with his family. As the boys were growing up they’d take many trips to the Roaring River in Missouri. His children and grandchildren were his world. Randy was a very spiritual man and made sure everyone knew they were loved. His smile could light up a room, he had a witty sense of humor and will be missed greatly.
Randy is survived by his beloved wife, Cheri; sons, Bill (Shawna) and Andrew (April); grandchildren, Clayton, Tyler, Chloe, Kenidy, Kiyley, Kacedi and Kaeden; three great grandchildren, Carson, Serenity and Gracelynn; brother, Terry (Brenda) and furry companion, Meka.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation is planned with a private family committal to follow.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude’s in Randy’s name.
