Robert Ford

Robert Michael “Mike” Ford, 63, Kansas City, MO passed away Aug. 31, 2012. Visitation will be 6-7:30 pm, followed by a funeral service at 7:30 pm, Tuesday at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. A graveside service will begin at 10:30 am, Wed. at Blue Springs Cemetery. Mike was born May 25, 1949 in Kansas City, MO and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Van Horn High School. He was a carpenter who worked many commercial construction projects over his career. He was a member of the Carpenters Union and retired in Dec. of 2010. He loved to fish and spend time on his houseboat.
Mike is survived by daughters Michelle Wilson and husband Bill; Tina Ford, all of Raytown, MO; sister Connie French and husband Richard, Independence, MO; brothers Dennis Ford and wife Kathy, Raytown, MO; David Ford and wife Kat, Independence, MO; grandchildren Jake, Alexander and Tori; and his faithful Border Collie, Bo.
