C. John Forge, Jr.

C. John “Jack” Forge, Jr., 75, of Independence, MO, peacefully passed away Friday, November 16, 2007 at his home surrounded by his family. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice. Jack was born October 22, 1932 in Mason City, IA to Clarence John and Anne (Merrifield) Forge, Sr. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Forge was a graduate of Rockhurst College and received his J.D. from UMKC School of Law. He was an Attorney in private practice in Independence, MO. Jack was a founding member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church. He loved life and was known for being a loyal man. His family meant the world to him. Jack liked reading, fishing and spending time outdoors in his spare time. He enjoyed watching his kids and grandchildren play sports and was an avid Chiefs fan! Mr. Forge is survived by his wife of 24 years, Melba (Martin) Forge; children Terry Forge, Mary Perrini and husband Nick, Molly Forge, Mike Englert and wife Carrie, Michelle Adams and husband Kevin, John Forge and wife Rolinda, Rick Forge and wife Courtney; sisters Nancy Hecht, Carol Thein, Louise Monclair and husband Kon; sister-in-law Delores Forge; brother-in-law Norm Pete; 20 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Jack was preceded in death by his first wife Joan Forge in 1980; and by 1 brother and 2 sisters. Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Baker, Mike Englert, Kevin Adams, Nick Perrini and his grandsons Jason Forge and Paul Perrini.
