Frank E. Forgey, 74, of Independence, MO entered into rest on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at his home. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. The service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, at the chapel, with burial to follow at Oakland Cemetery. Frank was born December 27, 1933 in Joplin, MO to Earl Frank and Rosie May (Hensley) Forgey. He graduated from Pittsburg High School in California, and then went to Shasta College. Frank served in the United States Marine Corp from 1951-1954. On June 18, 1959, Frank married Nancy Colleen (Dinwiddie). The couple made their home in the Independence/Kansas City area for over 45 years. Frank worked for General Motors for 25 years, until his retirement in 1982. He was preceded in death by one brother, James Thurman. Frank is survived by his wife, Nancy Colleen Forgey; two daughters and their husbands, Ceann and Kevin Robins, Kathy and Jim Gray; two sons, Scott Weber and wife Julie, Frank Forgey; nine granddaughters, Leah Anderson, Angela Hanlan, Sarah Miller, Sheena McKelvey, Katie Morton, Hannah Weber, Crissi Gray, Molly Weber and Alexis Gray; one grandson, Tristan Gillespie; three great granddaughters, Kelsey Hanlan, Haylo McKelvey and Faye Gillespie, one brother, Ernie Forgey; as well as nieces and nephews.
