Betty Forkner

Betty Susan Forkner, 62 of Independence, MO passed away, Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the Heart of God Fellowship Church in Buckner. Burial will follow in Floral Hills East Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Friday evening at the church. Donations may be made in her name to the Heart of God Fellowship Church P.O. Box 55, Buckner, MO 64016. Betty was born November 26, 1950 in Kansas City, MO to Billy Samuel and Harriett Irene (Davis) Norris and has been a lifelong area resident and had graduated from Fort Osage High School in 1968. She was a beloved wife, mother and homemaker who enjoyed camping and trips to Branson with family. She was a member of the Heart of God Fellowship Church. She is survived by; her loving husband, Harlan of the home; a daughter, Joy Gennings and husband Brian of Buckner, MO; 2 sons, Ronnie Forkner of Odessa, MO and Scotty Forkner of Grain Valley, MO; a brother, Tom Norris of Independence, MO; her father, Billy S. Norris of Independence, MO; 6 grandchildren, Joey, Jordan, Brian, Jr., Jackson, Hunter and Gage and one great granddaughter, Sophia.
