Mary Kathryn Fornelli (Watson)

Mary K. Fornelli, 90, Independence, MO passed away Feb. 26, 2016. Memorial services will 2:30 pm, Sat., March 5 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052; cremation. Visitation will follow the service until 4:00 pm. The family requests contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association Heart of America Chapter, 3846 W 75th St, Prairie Village, KS 66208. Mary was born Nov. 27, 1925 in Albany, MO and graduated from high school there. She worked at the F.A.A. in the 1950’s where she met her future husband. She and Joe P. Fornelli were married in 1961. She enjoyed bowling, reading, crossword puzzles and going to the casinos. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Joe. She is survived by daughter Delia Ulsrud and George Hukkanen, Liberty, MO; son Mike Fornelli and wife Kelly, Independence, MO; grandsons Dr. Jason Ulsrud and wife Taren, Dallas, TX; Zachary Fornelli, Independence, MO; great-grandsons Nikolaos and Lukas Ulsrud and many other family members.
