Betty Jean Foster (Schwab)

Betty Jean Schwab Foster, of Independence, Missouri, passed away on February 1st, 2022. Mrs. Foster was born on December 30, 1931 in Kansas City, Missouri and lived in Independence, Missouri all her life. She was the daughter of Lewis H. Schwab Sr. and Ella Francis Maness Schwab who preceded her in death. Her husband, Billy R. Foster preceded her in death in 1993, her brother, Lewis H. Schwab Jr., in 1987 and a grandson, Patrick Maye in 2021. She was a member of the Beverly Hills Baptist Church in Independence, Missouri. She was a member of the East Gate chapter no. 367 of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Tirey J. Ford unit 21. She was a past member of the Ararat Shrine Greeteretts, and the Ararat Shrine Needleguild. Her survivors include three sons, Stephen Ray Foster and husband Michael Tarwater of Naples, Florida, Stuart Gene Foster and wife, DeAnna Foster of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Stanley Dean Foster, and wife, Lisa Foster of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and four granddaughters, Sarah Foster Gann and husband Levi, Alysha D. Foster, Mary C. Foster and Caitlyn E. Maye, and one grandson Ryan Maye. Services will be Saturday, February 5th at 10am at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Burial will follow in Blue Springs Cemetery.
