Linnie O. Foster, 88 of Independence, MO, passed away Monday, December 21, 2015 at Rosewood Health Center. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 26, 2015 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m., until service time Saturday at the chapel. A Graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Sunday, December 27, 2015 at the Highland Cemetery, Ozark, AR. Linnie was born February 26, 1927 in Ozark, AR to Robert and Bertha (Hutchison) Maxwell and spent her early life in Arkansas. She had worked as an executive housekeeper for Howard Johnson’s for a number of years. She enjoyed her church and most of all spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She was a member of the Sheffield Assembly of God now know as the Sheffield Family Life Center for over 55 years. She was married to Edward L. Foster, Sr. on November 24, 1943; he preceded her in death on August 21, 1998. She is survived by; her 5 children, Edward L. Foster, Jr and his wife Vicki of Roach, MO, Jackie Lee Foster, Sr. and wife Anna of Kansas City, MO, Billy Ray Foster and wife Kathy of Spring Valley, MN, Linda K. Overbeck and husband Dave of Independence, MO and Dr. Vickie S. Murillo and husband Willie of Lee’s Summit, MO; 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia S. Simons in 2005, 2 sisters and 9 brothers.
