Ronnie Foster, 71, of Independence, MO passed away Monday, January 8, 2018. A memorial visitation will be held from 12-2pm on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St, Independence, MO, 64055.
Ronnie was born on July 23, 1946 in Independence, MO to Delbert and Olga (Kalkbrenner) Foster. He graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1964 and then proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. After being honorably discharged, he began working for ABF Trucking. Ronnie enjoyed driving his 1957 Chevy convertible, collecting antiques, playing Texas Hold ‘Em, and fishing. He also loved attending car shows and his cat Annie but most of all he loved being with his family.
He will be remembered by his wife Linda Foster of Independence, MO; sons Steven Foster and wife Julie of Kansas City, MO, Bob Foster and wife Stephenie of Blue Springs, MO; step-sons Keith Barker and wife Sharon of St. Paul, MN, Kevin Barker and wife Lisa of Blue Springs, MO; brother John Foster and wife Vallaree of Deer Park, TX; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; plus several other extended family members.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his first wife Lorraine Foster and his parents.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Luke’s Hospice House.
