Ruth H. Foster (Tessmer)

Ruth Foster, 97, of Independence, MO passed away October 31, 2016. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. followed by a 10:30 a.m. service on Friday, November 4, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. Burial will be held at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Ruth was born November 7, 1918 in Mayville, WI to Karl and Lenora (Bosse) Tessmer. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Edward and LeRoy Tessmer; and one sister, Mildred Ericksmoen. Ruth is survived by her son, Bryan Foster and wife Linda; daughter, Brenda O’Brien and Ed Redding; grandchildren, Kyle and Laura O’Brien, Megan and Jason Carney; two sisters, Florence Bingham and Dorothy Darge; and numerous nieces and nephews.
