Maxine Lorene Fowler

Maxine Lorene (Anderson) Fowler, 81, of Independence, MO passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2005. A graveside service will be 11:30 am Saturday, October 22nd at Netawaka Cemetery, Netawaka, KS. The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association. Maxine was born July 22, 1924 in Holton, KS to Arthur and Gula Anderson. Maxine was a resident of Independence for 58 years, and was a member of Glenwood Park United Methodist Church. She had started work in the accounting department of Sears, Roebuck & Co. She was an Avon Lady for several years, before going to work for the Internal Revenue Service. Maxine was known for her love of flowers and gardening. Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest C. Fowler Jr; sister, Erma L. Anderson; brother, Dale E. Anderson. She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl L. Barr and husband Ron of Walhalla, SC, Theresa E. Thomas and husband John of Lee�s Summit, MO, Barbara Lichtenauer and husband Thomas of Raymore, MO; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sister, Viola Boone and husband Carl of Rayville, MO. The family would like to thank the staff of Carmel Hills Living Center for the care and kindness they provided Maxine for the two years she lived there.
