John Michael Fox

John M. Fox, 59, Independence, MO passed away Dec. 20, 2014. Memorial services will be at 2 pm, Sat., Dec. 27 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052; cremation. Visitation will begin at 1 pm before the service at the chapel. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the ALS Association Keith Worthington Chapter, 6950 Squibb Rd., Mission, KS 66202. John was born Nov. 6, 1955 in Kansas City, MO and graduated from William Chrisman High School. He later earned an Associate Degree from the Community College of Southern Nevada. He was a twenty-year U.S. Air Force veteran where he served as a radar specialist. He was an avid runner and golfer who participated in the annual Hospital Hill Run and was a member of Drumm Farm Golf Club. He was a huge KC sports fan of the Royals, Chiefs, Sporting and KU Basketball. He was a member of American Legion Post #21. John is survived by his mother Jo Noth and step-father Darrell; sisters Kathy Gouldsmith and husband Eric; Heidi Minor, all of Independence, MO; Stephanie Matthews and husband Tony, Centerview, MO; Bonnie Meyers and husband John, Blue Springs, MO; brother Kenny Noth, New York, NY and many nieces and nephews.
