William C. Franken

William Charles "Bill� Franken, 64, went to be with the Lord on July 14, 2005 in Houston, TX. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2005 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 21, 2005 in the chapel. Burial in Floral Hills East Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to MD Anderson Cancer Research. Bill was born May 12, 1941 in Maryville, MO to William F. and Helen I. (Kariker) Franken. He taught in the Kansas City, MO school district for 10 years, then the Metropolitan Community Colleges for 21 years before retiring in 2004. Mr. Franken is survived by his wife Carson (Snider), granddaughters Kristen and Kaitlyn all of the home; daughters Sheryl O�Malley of Tarsney Lake, MO, Laura Dickinson of Prairie Village, KS; step-children Brent Thomas of Liberty, MO, Chad Thomas U.S. Marine Corps and Marla Rivera of Overland Park, KS; 5 grandchildren and 4 step-granddaughters; mother and step-father Helen and Wayne Smith; sisters Sybilla Hawkins of Kansas City, MO and Barbara Brisciano of Windsor, MO. Bill was preceded in death by his father William Franken and sister Rita Danely.
