Charles E. "Charlie� Franklin, 62, of Kansas City, MO, passed away Sunday, April 30th at his lake home in Climax Springs, MO. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 5, 2006 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be 6-9:00 p.m., Thursday, May 4th at Speaks. Burial with full military honors at the Missouri State Veteran�s Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. Charlie was born February 6, 1944 in Hodge, MO to John and Beulah (Rector) Franklin. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. Mr. Franklin has worked for the past 41 years at the Lake City Ammunitions plant. Charlie loved life and lived it to the fullest; golfing, hunting, fishing, traveling, muscle cars, the farm, gardening, good food, watching T.V., and spending time with his family. Charlie is survived by his wife Norma (Robinett) Franklin; son and daughter-in-law Greg and Rhonda Franklin, daughters and sons-in-law Tammy Straw and John Winn, Tina and Jeff Spear; grandchildren Caitlin, Carissa, Skyler, Jack, Sophie and Braden; aunt Melvina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Wayne Franklin.
