Maxine Franklin, 93, of Independence, MO passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017. A visitation will be held from 12-1pm on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Carson-Speaks Chapel 1501 W. Lexington Ave, Independence, MO, 64052. A service will follow at 1pm at the chapel.
Maxine was born on February 11, 1924 in Denver, MO to Alva “Ray” and Clara (Miller) Goin. On June 26, 1943 she married Wilce Anderson. Together they had 4 children. Wilce passed away in 1966 and later she remarried Leon “Lefty” Franklin. In her spare time she enjoyed making floral arrangements, quilting, fishing and attending family gatherings. She was a member of the American Business Women Association and Rebecca Lodge.
Maxine will be remembered by her daughter Loretta Buso and husband Joe of Independence, MO; son Larry Anderson and wife Debbie of Independence, MO; grandchildren Mark Troutman (Danette), Josh Anderson, Matt Troutman, Paul Ballance (Christy), Jimmy Ballance, and Adam Ballance (Chasity); and 8 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her baby daughter Dee Anne Anderson, daughter Linda Troutman, and both of her husbands.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
