Fred L. Freers

Fred Freers, 86, passed away on February 21, 2025. He was born on June 8, 1938, to Charles Freers and Grace Fennell, who preceded him in death, along with his beloved wife, Sylvia Freers.

Fred is survived by his Brother Edward Freers and wife, Corrine. Also, his son, Jerome Freers; daughters, Stella Preator and husband Chad, and Rene’ Roxanne Durham; and his cherished grandchildren: Kristin Preator, Jason Preator and wife Tantika, Reed Freers and wife Aspen, Prestan Skaggs, Dustin Skaggs, and Trace Durham. Additionally, Damon Freers, Logan Freers, and Jacob Freers and their mother Renee’ Freers. And 6 Great grandchildren. 

A man of deep faith, Fred was a devoted Christian and actively participated in the Restoration Branches of the original Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He found joy in golf and treasured the friendships he built both on and off the course. Fred spent his career in the sheet metal trade and was a proud member of the Union local #2 before retiring.

Fred’s life was one of faith, family, and friendship. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at Stella and Chad Preator’s home at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, March 1st, 2025. Private burial next to his wife was held in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens.
