Ardyce R. Freeman, of Independence, MO passed away Fri, Oct 1, 2004. A graveside service will be 3:00 pm, Tue, Oct 5, 2004 at Buckner Hill Cemetery, Buckner, MO, followed by an informal sharing of memories at the Buckner Community of Christ Church. Ardyce was born April 9, 1918 in Lamoni, IA to Ephram and Ina Barnett Brown. She was a registered nurse for many years, working in the Independence Sanitarium and Hospital, and retired from Kansas City Regional Diagnostic Center in TMC West. Ardyce was a member of the Community of Christ, Buckner Congregation, the Eastern Star and the VFW auxiliary. Her parents, her husband Richard Freeman, Sr., a daughter, Patricia Freeman, a brother Dick Brown, a sister Betty Henson and a grandson, Jeffery preceded her in death. Ardyce is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Kathy Freeman, Jr. of Independence, MO, and Doug and Christa Freeman of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Sholly Richelle Freeman, Richard A. Freeman III, Dougie Freeman, and Rodney Sawyers; great grandchildren, Kadie, Kodie, and A.J.; brothers, Stanton T. Brown of Buckner, MO, and Emerson Brown of Independence, MO.
