Roger W. Frisbey, 71, Buckner, MO passed from life as we know it surrounded by his family on March 5, 2007. Friends and family are invited to share in a celebration of his life at 2 pm, Friday, March 9, 2007 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; interment at Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
The congestive heart disease took him home to be reunited with his Heavenly Father and his earthly parents, Arthur and Velma Frisbey. He fought long & hard. He was besieged with needed joint replacement due to intense chemotherapy but would not give up. His children and family needed him to be there for them.
Roger was born and raised in Independence and graduated from William Chrisman High School. He joined his brother-in-law Bob Chinnery in his family business, Chinnery Machine & Mfg. Co., which later merged with Als Farm & Garden Equipment. Roger with his quiet unassuming ways soon became "Rog, the guy who knows those parts books front to back. He loved radio-controlled airplanes. When his health began to fail, his son, Tim shared his knowledge of computers to help Roger communicate. Not wanting to burden family and friends, he rarely spoke of his illness as the years of heart disease began claiming his strength.
Roger is survived by son Richard Frisbey; daughter Pamela Frisbey and husband Frank Miceli; son Tim Frisbey and wife Judy; step-sons Shawn and Jim; grandchildren John, Tina, Dustin, Nathan and wife Amanda, Stefanie and Mindy Lou; five great-grandchildren; sisters Rose Etta Chinnery and husband Bob; Sharon Allison; brothers Kenny Frisbey and wife Donna; Dennis Frisbey and wife Susan; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Roger will be remembered in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Remember to give your dad, grandpa, or brother a hug and tell them you love them while you can.
