Monetta Ruth Fry (Buenemann)

Monetta R. Fry, 87, Independence, MO passed away Oct. 16, 2016. Services will be 11 am, Thursday, Oct. 20 at St. Luke’s United Church of Christ, 727 N. Main, Independence, MO 64050; interment at Oak Ridge Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 10 am before the service at church. The family requests contributions to the church. Monetta was born May 17, 1929 in Independence and was a life-long resident. She was confirmed at age 11 at St. Luke’s United Church of Christ and sang in the choir there for thirty-eight years. She graduated from William Chrisman High School in the Class of 1947. She was an excellent cook and seamstress who enjoyed bowling, fishing and spending time at the family home at the Lake of the Ozarks. Most of all she loved time with her grandchildren and family. Monetta was preceded in death by brother Hugh Buenemann. She is survived by her husband of sixty-six years Robert Fry, of the home; son Bruce Fry and wife Tina, Farley, MO; daughter Lenora Remmert and husband Ken, Gladstone, MO; grandsons Tim Fry and wife Tori, Independence, MO; Nathan Remmert and wife Ashley, Chicago, IL; granddaughter Angie Sellars and husband Glenn, Independence, MO and great-grandchildren Noah, Abbi, Kaylee, Seth and Emilee.
