Tonya Fuchs, 48, of Kingsville, MO departed this life May 8, 2020 in Rosenberg, TX. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Tuesday May 19, 2020 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Graveside services will be 2pm Wednesday, May 20, 2020. Tonya will be laid to rest in Buckner Hill Cemetery with her beloved Grandmother Grace. Tonya was born August 27, 1971 in Independence, MO to Terry and Deanna (McMillin) Hontz. She was a graduate of Grain Valley High School. After high school Tonya began her first job in banking. She was highly motivated and dedicated employee and was respected by everyone that came in contact with her. Tonya was proud of her successful banking career. In recent years, she was one of three founding associates of Merit Bank in Overland Park, Kansas. Her contributions were instrumental in growth of the bank and where she rose to the position of Executive Vice President of Operations. Tonya played a key role in the bank’s success, including the sale and eventual merger into locally owned Academy Bank. She continued with Academy Bank as Vice President and Mortgage Relationship Officer. On November 29, 1997, Tonya married the love of her life and best friend Randall Fuchs and became a second mother to his son Joshua. Tonya was known for her love of life. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, crafts, and just making everyone around her happy. She never forgot a Birthday. The first question that was always asked about any party was “What is Tonya going to cook?”. Her greatest joy in life was playing with her grandsons. Tonya was greatly loved and will be forever missed by her family and friends. Survivors include: husband of over 22 years Randall Fuchs; step son Joshua Fuchs and his wife Vanessa; grandsons Oakley Fuchs and Hudson Ramirez ( son of Tony Ramirez and Kahley Fiala); parents Terry and Deanna Hontz; sister Shawna Hontz; father in law David Fuchs; sister in law Debbie Winship; nephews Dylan and Tyler Wilcox; best friends Tamara Scharfenkamp and Trish Hook; extended family and many friends, Tonya was preceded in death by her grandparents John Jr. and Grace (Thomas) Hontz and George and Esther McMillin, as well as aunt Sharon Tabor and uncle Tom Hontz. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hope House, Impact Ministry or the charity of your choice in Tonya's memory.
