Jay Fulcher, 65 of Independence, MO passed away, Saturday, June 17, 2017. Cremation is planned with a memorial service to be held at 5:00 p.m., Thursday evening, June 22, 2017 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to the Shriner Children’s Hospital. Jay was born October 9, 1951 in St. Joseph, MO to Lee and Muriel (Cordonier) Fulcher. He had worked for KCP&L for 38 years and was going to retire later this year. He enjoyed running, bicycling, working on cars and most of all spending time with family. He was a religious man who enjoyed helping others. Survivors include; his loving wife, Connie of the home; a son, Jacob Lee Fulcher and wife Jill and their daughter, Elin June Fulcher of Evergreen, CO; a sister, Marilyn Fagan and husband Larry of St. Joseph, MO; 2 brothers, Dale Fulcher and wife Kay of Stilwell, KS and Melvin Fulcher of St. Joseph, MO.
