Marsha Gabehart, 70, of Independence, MO passed away peacefully on Friday, November 2, 2018. A memorial visitation will be held from 1-2pm on Thursday, November 8 at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St, Independence, MO, 64055. A celebration of her life will start at 2pm at the chapel.
Marsha was born on August 26, 1948 in Independence, MO to Scott and Jean (Finkle) Finken. She lived her entire life in the Independence area and was a graduate of Truman High School. Marsha was career business woman and worked for Waddell and Reed for 38 plus years, in many different capacities. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, bowling and going to the dinner theater. She loved animals, butterflies, but of all she loved her sons.
She will be remembered by her sons Tim Buckles of Portland, OR, Andy Buckles of Independence, MO and her adopted daughter Stacy Alterman; siblings Bob Finken, Jeffrey Finken, Pam Lathrop, David Reneau, Janice Simmons, and Phillip Reneau and their spouses; step-mom Earlena Finken; plus many nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
Marsha was preceded in death by her parents and husband Tom Gabehart.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Cascade AIDS Walk of Portland, OR or St. Luke’s Marion Bloch Neuroscience Institute.
