L. Beryl Gage, 91, of Independence, MO passed away, Tuesday, May 20, 2003 at her residence. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 23, 2003 at the Speaks Midtown Chapel. Burial will be in Mound Grove Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 12:00 noon until service time Friday at the chapel. Beryl was born September 2, 1911 in Independence, MO to Charles S. and Lilla M. (Bullard) Warren and spent most of her life in Independence, MO. She worked in the garment district as a seamstress for several manufacturers such as Gernes and Nellie Dawn before she retired in 1952. During WWII she worked at Lake City Ammunition Plant. She lived in Hartville, MO for a number of years and while there she was active in the County Extension Club, the Gardening Club, was treasurer of the Senior Citizens Group all of Hartville and was a member of the Independence Eagles Lodge #385 for 43 years. She was also a member of the Community of Christ Restoration Church in Waldo, MO. She married Dee Gage on July 1, 1950 he preceded her in death in 1986. survivors include; a daughter, Barbara Patterson of Independence, MO; a son, James Ballinger of New Caney, TX; 15 grandchildren a great many great grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
