David Oris Garland

David O. Garland, of Atherton, MO, beloved father, grandfather and brother passed away on May 12, 2006 at the age of 52. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. The service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the chapel. Burial at Mt. Washington Cemetery. David was born on March 23, 1954 in Wichita, KS. He loved life, enjoyed hunting and was a lifetime member of the NRA. He was an avid reader and could quote dates and events through out history. He never forgot a birthday with a phone call. David was preceded in death by his parents, W.O. and Leona F. Garland; and one sister, Sandra Swenson. He is survived by his two daughters, Brandee and her husband Jason Bratcher, and Nicole Eckhardt; two granddaughters, Emma and Shaylyn Bratcher; one sister, Vicki and husband Larry Purvis; and two brothers, Dennis and wife Vickie Garland, and John and wife Sarah Garland; as well as a host of family and friends.
