Jack Garnier

Jack William Garnier, formerly of Independence, MO, died July 18, 2007 in Houston, TX. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 10, 2007, 2:00 PM, at the Stone Church Community of Christ, 1012 W. Lexington Ave, Independence, MO. Jack was named Artist Emeritus of the Community of Christ following many years of devoted service as the art director for the church. He was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada on January 14, 1926. He lived and worked in Detroit, Michigan until he moved to Independence, Missouri in 1963. Jack moved to Houston in 2004 following his wife’s death. His wife of 55 years, Fay Garnier, preceded him in death in August 2004. He is survived by his daughter, Susan Renner, his son, David Garnier, and his son-in-law, Dennis Renner; grandson, Charlie Benton; two step-grandsons Andrew Benton and Dennis Renner Jr.; step-granddaughter Betty Jane Davis; and two great step-grandsons, Garrett and Coleton Davis.
