Anna Teresa Garrett

Anna Teresa Garrett, 93, of Independence, Mo, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 1, 2018. Visitation will be at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 3736 S. Lee’s Summit Rd, Independence, Mo 64055, on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, from 9 –11am followed by Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Anna was born on September 28,1925, in Kansas City, Mo, to Henry and Lillian (Costanza) Leone. She attended and graduated from St. Aloysius Academy. Anna and Lonnie were married on May 3,1944 She was a member of the St. Mark’s Catholic Church for 28 years. Taking care of her family and her home was her passion. She was an excellent cook. Anna and Lonnie spent 74 wonderful years together. She will be greatly missed and remembered lovingly by her remaining family. Anna leaves behind her husband, Lonnie Garrett, of Independence, Mo, son, Larry Garrett, and daughter-in-law, Irene Garrett, of Independence, Mo; Granddaughter, Laura Dorsch, and husband, Dr. Stephen Dorsch, of Lee’s Summit, Mo, Grandson; Lonnie J. Garrett, of Blue Springs, Mo, and his wife, Nicki Garrett; Great-Grandchildren; Samantha and Christian Dorsch, Olivia and Jillian Garrett. Anna also leaves her sister, Lillian Belfonte (Sal); Nieces and Nephews; Jo Marie Stewart, John Belfonte (Rosie), David Belfonte, (Kristy) Henry Belfonte, (Carol Jo). Condolences may be expressed at
