Garrin Eugene Massey, 23 of Buckner, MO passed away Monday morning from injuries in a motorcycle accident. The family will greet friends from 4-8:00 p.m., Sunday at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 28, 2023 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel with burial to follow in Buckner Hill Cemetery. Garrin was born July 20, 2000 to Brian and Marlana (Shadduck) Massey and has been a longtime resident of Buckner. He graduated in 2018 from Fort Osage High School and enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, boating and other outdoor sports. He had worked for 4 years for the City of Liberty public works and recently started as a truck driver for MLC Redi-Mix Inc. He is survived by; his parents, Brian and Marlana Massey of Buckner; a sister, Morgan McLaughlin and her husband Trevor of Independence, MO; his girlfriend, Elizabeth Warner of Kansas City, KS; grandfathers, Kirk Shadduck of Pittsburg, MO and Lonnie Massey of Buckner, MO and 2 uncles, Brandon Massey of Arizona and Darren Shadduck of Chesterfield, MO and a large number of friends and acquaintances.
