George William "Bill" Garrison, 65,of Blue Springs, Mo died Monday March 13,2017 at Research Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.
Visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. with a service at 3p.m. on Sat. Mar 18th at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055.
Bill served in the Army National Guard.
Bill was born Feb. 20, 1952 in San Antonio, Mo. to George W. Garrison and Sarah Ruth Garrison Dusenberry Chipps.
He married Janet Diane Tims Oct. 6, 2001, who proceeded him in death on Feb.28,2017
He retired as a sheetrock finisher from Painter District Counsel No.3 and was presently employed with J.A. Peterson Realty Co. out of Shawnee Mission as a sheetrock finisher.
Bill loved the Lord and was a man of strong faith, sharing Jesus with many he came in contact with, so for Bill this is not the end but the beginning.
He also loved his family, never failing to let each of us know how much when having a conversation with us. Bill was a devoted husband to Janet, and loved his stepsons as though they were his own. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his sons, Jason (Tracy) Carleton of Blue Springs, Mo, Tim ( Michelle) Carleton of Excelsior Springs, Mo, David (Nicole) Carleton of Blue Springs, Mo; his mother Sarah Ruth Chipps of Chillicothe, Mo; mother in-law Vonnie Tims of Blue Springs, Mo. six grandchildren, Daelin, Kyler, Evelyn, Zeke, Annabelle, and Everett. Siblings Marshall (Mary) Dusenberry of Chillicothe, MO, Wilma (Alan) Jones of Hamilton, Mo, Wanda (Raymond) Haley of Chillicothe, Mo, Joan (Rex) Hill of Grant City, Mo, Eva (Mark) Johnson of Marionville, Mo, Andy (Rachel) Dusenberry of Florence, MS, Max (Twilah) Garrison of Trenton, MO and Barbara (Charles) Bailey of Lebanon, MO.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Janet; father, George W Garrison and step-fathers, Russell Dusenberry and Denver Chipps.
