Gary Allen Lynch, beloved father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, passed away on September 13, 2023. He was born on December 1, 1976, in Kansas City, MO.
Gary graduated from Truman High School in 1995. Throughout his life, Gary pursued various career paths but ultimately discovered his true passion as a tow truck driver. For over 23 years, he dedicated himself to serving the communities of Kansas City and St. Joseph, MO through his diligent work at several tow truck companies.
Throughout his life, Gary enjoyed playing basketball for Messiah Lutheran Church and baseball in the Queen City Leagues in Independence, fishing, hunting, oil painting, and building model cars. He was highly involved in arena truck racing and enjoyed attending races with Tressa and Tori. One of his greatest joys came from spending quality time with his grandchildren. Whether it was taking them to school or engaging in activities like pumpkin carving, watching TV, coloring and painting together, Gary cherished every moment spent with them.
Gary is preceded in death by his wife, Tressa Ann Matney Lynch; Tressa's parents John and Vickie Hutsell; and grandparents, Eldon and Dorothy Inman; George and Betty Crane; and George and Leola Lynch.
He is survived by his daughter Tori Lynch; parents, Tom and Nancy Lynch; sister Kera Lynch; grandchildren, Aliya, Harden, Daisy, and Colten, who brought immeasurable happiness to his life; nephews Chase and Andrew; niece Kailey; numerous uncles and aunts, cousins, and countless friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with him.
