Violet Miller George

Violet M. George, 93, of Independence, passed away Dec. 27, 2017. A visitation will be Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, from 10-11am with a service following at 11:00am, both at First Baptist Church of Independence, 500 W Truman Rd, Independence, MO 64050. Interment will follow at Mound Grove Cemetery. Violet was born August 20, 1924 in Mulberry, KS to Thomas and Maude (Archer) Miller. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters, her son Gary S. George and her grandson Richard M. Crane.
She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Henry Arthur George; her son, Curtis A. George (Carol), her daughter, Susan G. Crane (Michael), 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren, all of whom she loved very much.
