Dorothy Louise Gervy

Dorothy Louise Gervy, 75, Grain Valley, Mo., died Jan. 14, 2005 at Independence Regional Health Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 9:30 am, Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005 at St. Mary�s Catholic Church, Independence, Mo.; interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:30 - 8 pm, Monday at Speaks Suburban Chapel with a Prayer Service preceding at 6 pm. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the American Diabetes Assoc. Dorothy was born Aug. 13, 1929 in Kansas City, Mo. She was a member of the St. Mary�s Church and a member of the Altar Society. She had been a sales representative for the Avon Company for 23 years and had earned membership in the President�s Club. She was preceded in death by son, Kenneth Gervy, daughter Pamela Reeder, a brother Donald Curts and her parents. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Lawrence Edward Gervy, of the home; son Larry Gervy and wife Nancy, Oak Grove, Mo; son Dennis Gervy and wife Sherrie, Indep., Mo; son Gregory Gervy and wife Susan, Polo, Mo.; half-sisters Sharon Petentler and Barbara Kuhlman, both of Shell Knob, Mo.; thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
