Jeffery Gervy

Jeffery E. Gervy, 24, Independence, MO passed away April 11, 2009 as a result of an accident. Services will be 10 am, Friday, April 17, 2009 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; interment at New Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 �" 8 pm, Thursday at the funeral home. The family suggests contributions to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Jeff was born Dec. 29, 1984 in Kansas City, MO and was a lifelong Independence resident. He graduated from Ft. Osage High School in 2003. He was a foreman rigger at Huddleston Machinery for over five years. Jeff was also a Boy Scout and an avid hunter and fisherman. He held a Brown belt in karate. Jeff was a very generous and selfless person. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend who never met a stranger.
Jeff was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Howard Winfrey, paternal grandmother Dorothy Gervy, uncle Kenneth Gervy; and aunt Pam Gervy. He is survived by his parents Dennis & Sherrie Gervy; brother and sister-in-law Jeremy & Jill Gervy; beloved niece Lilli Gervy; maternal grandmother Dorothy Winfrey; paternal grandfather Lawrence Gervy; several aunts, uncles, cousins and hundreds of friends.
