Mabel Gettys

Mabel E. Gettys, 86 of Ava, MO passed away Mon. Nov. 19, 2007 at the Heart of the Ozarks Nursing Home. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Mon. Nov 26, 2007 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Indep. MO with a graveside service immediately following in Md. Grove Cemetery. Ms. Gettys was born on Jan 13, 1921 to Irvin and Agnes Gettys in Ava, MO. She had lived in the Kansas City area before moving back to Ava several years ago. She was a hard worker and had an outstanding work ethic. She was a loving and caring person who enjoyed visits with her family members and crocheting. Mabel is survived by a brother Guy Gettys of Springfield, MO and a sister Grace Hardy of Independence, MO and by many nieces and nephews.
