Naomi Ruth Gibbs, 83 of Independence, MO. Services will be 10:00 am, Mon. Dec. 29, 2003 at the Speaks Midtown Chapel, 1101 W. Walnut, Indep. MO. Burial in Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 - 8:30 pm Sunday at the Chapel. Contributions are suggested to the Salvation Army. Mrs. Gibbs was born on Jun 29, 1920 to Robert and Edna St John in Kansas City, KS. She had been a serger for Wilson Sporting Goods from 1962 - 1972. She had also worked for the H.D. Lee Company and was a wonderful seamstress She was a member of Job�s Daughters and the True Kindred. Naomi had been a devoted member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint, Edna Heights Congregation. Naomi was preceded in death by her first husband, Loyd Read, her second husband, Sam Gibbs, a son in law, William Patrick Riley, one sister, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is survived by four sons and their wives. Two stepdaughters and their husbands, Mona D. and Lee Tompson of Oak Grove, MO and Chrolet and George Hulmes of Independence, MO. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
