Dorothy L. Giffen

Dorothy L. Giffen, 77, of Independence, MO passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2005. Services will be 2 pm Thursday, May 19th at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 pm at the Chapel. Dorothy was born November 11, 1927 in Independence, MO to William and Alma Struewe. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Everett Giffen; a son, Brian Giffen; sister, Ruth Vaughan; and a brother, Vernon Struewe. She is survived by her daughters, Gloria Dobbins of Bosworth, MO, and Diana Bell of Independence, MO; a son, Kirk Giffen of Kansas City, MO; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brother, Bill Struewe of Independence, MO.
