Edward Cosby "Eddie" Gill

Edward Cosby “Eddie” Gill, 65, of Independence, MO passed away on Friday, September 11, 2020. A visitation will be held Friday, September 18th from 1-2pm with a service following at 2pm, both at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Interment will follow at Blue Springs Cemetery.

Eddie was born on November 8, 1954 in Independence to Edward R. and Patsy M. (Ellis) Gill. He graduated from Van Horn High School in 1973 and was baptized at Rockwood Baptist Church. Eddie enjoyed his employment as a dishwasher at Putsch’s Cafeteria for 12 years and Stephenson’s Family Restaurant for 20 years before his retirement. He was a man who loved Christmas, mowing his lawn and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed.

Eddie is preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother, Patsy; his siblings, Tim Gill, Kim Simmons (Greg Harvey), and Kelly Lee (Jimmy); 4 nephews, 3 nieces; as well as, 6 great-nephews and 8 great-nieces.
