Danny Lee Gillam

Danny Lee Gillam, 63, Blue Springs, MO passed away April 25, 2014. Memorial services will be at 10 am, Sat., May 3 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055; cremation. Visitation will begin at 9 am before the service at the chapel. Danny was born March 19, 1951 in Warrensburg, MO. He graduated from CMSU with a B.S. in drafting. Following graduation, he began a career spanning over thirty-five years at MoPub which morphed into KCP&L. He loved golf and was a very accomplished woodworker who enjoyed making furniture and cabinetry for family and friends. He was a fan of the Chiefs and had bowled in leagues in his earlier years. Danny is survived by his wife of sixteen years Susie Gillam, of the home; son Robert Gillam and wife Amy Jo, Independence, MO; step-daughter Cherrie Owen and husband John, Bloomington, IL; step-son Randy Montera and wife Dee, Blue Springs, MO; brothers Pat Gillam and wife Mary, Springfield, MO; Ronnie Gillam, McAllen, TX and granddaughter Alyssa Gillam.
