Emma Geraldene Gillette (Hunsaker)

Emma Geraldene Gillette, 91, Kansas City, MO passed away Feb. 28, 2016. Memorial service will be at 2 pm, Sunday, March 6 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055; cremation. Visitation will begin at 1 pm before the service at the chapel. Emma was born May 24, 1924 in Ava, MO and grew up on a farm near there, one of thirteen children.
She loved shopping at the Salvation Army Thrift Store, crocheting and tinkering with gadgets. She was preceded in death by husband Henry Gillette, daughters JoAnn Canada and Donna J. Eaton; son Russell Gillette. She is survived by sons Leroy Eaton, Kansas City, MO; Ben Eaton and wife Anita Independence, MO; Tommy Gillette, Kansas City, MO; daughters Debra Gillette, Warrensburg, MO; Wanda Mayhew; Patricia Brisbin, both of Kansas City, MO; brother Frank Hunsaker and wife Rosie, Clinton, MO; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren and many other family members.
