Connie Gillham

Connie Sue (Crawford/Pixler) Gillham, 63, of Independence Mo passed away at her home on September 8th, 2014. Connie was born in Laurel MS to Connor and Doris Crawford. She graduated from Van Horn high school in 1969 and studied music arts at UMKC. Connie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, husband David Gillham and brother Donald Crawford. Connie is survived by her two children, Shawn Pixler and Dawn (Pixler) Maksimov, two brothers Dennis and Doug Crawford, sister-in-law Susan Crawford, first husband Fred Pixler, three grandchildren Kloey Guy, Vladimir Maksimov and Faylee Pixler, nieces Randi Orlando, Marci Bongiovanni and LeeAnn Crawford, nephews Bobby Pixler and Christopher Crawford, and many cousins and great nieces and nephews. A gathering to celebrate Connie's life will be held on Friday September 12th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Carson-Speaks Chapel at 1501 West Lexington Ave, Independence Mo 64052.
