Helen Gilliam

Helen Gilliam, 91, of Independence, Mo passed away o January 15, 2006 at the Groves. Graveside service will be 10:00 am Thursday, January 19, 2006 at Mound Grove Cemetery. A visitation will be from 7-8:30 pm Wednesday, January 18, 2005 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Helen was born May 15, 1914 in Ontario, Canada on January 7, 1932 she married Howard Gilliam, After 53 years of marriage, Howard passed away in 1985. Helen had a wonderful voice and sang in the Messiah Choir for 33 years. She also enjoyed singing solo in Church and for special functions. Helen had been a longtime member of the RLDS Church, but more recently she had been associated with the Farview Restoration Branch. Survivors include her son, Verne Gilliam and his wife Patricia, adopted daughter Elizabeth Coleman, and a sister, Betty Bird, all of Independence; 6 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren, all of Canada.
