Patricia "Pat" Gilliam (Kennedy)

Pat Gilliam, 87, passed away September 16, 2017 at Monterey Park Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Independence, MO. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at the Remnant Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Blue Springs, MO. Pat was born June 15, 1930 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada to Angus and Hannah Caroline (Bailey) Kennedy. Her greatest joy in life was being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She married the love of her life, Verne Gilliam, on June 6, 1953. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers. She is survived by her loving husband Verne; six children, Kathie Mills of Independence, MO, Wendy Kirkwood (Paul) of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Roger (MaryAnn) Gilliam of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Crolyn Thomas of Barrie, Ontario, Canada, Michael (Andrea) Gilliam of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Brenda (Vince) Jamieson of Pickering, Ontario, Canada; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother; and nine nieces and nephews.
