Randy Lee Gist, 55, Independence, MO passed away Saturday, September 21, 2013.
Randy was born May 4, 1958 in Independence, MO. He was a 1976 graduate of William Chrisman High School and attended Maple Woods Community College. Randy worked as a machinist for nearly 30 years and recently was employed as a tool and die maker for B.E. Aerospace Inc. He was a co-founder of God’s Journeymen Bike Ministry and loved serving the Lord and was a fisher of men.
Randy is survived by the love of his life, Trish Gist; daughter, Rachel Wilcox and husband John; son, Chris Gist and wife Mandy; grandchildren, Samuel and Leah Wilcox and Cylus Gist; brothers, Denny Gist and Damon Beck. He was preceded in death by his brother Delbert Gist.
Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Following the services and final ride to Lake Jacomo will occur with a celebration gathering at shelter #14.
